Should i get a longboard or a skateboard?

I would recommend longboarding. They are way more versatile then skateboards and last much longer. With longboards you can cruise, bomb, freestyle, and carve. You can do tricks on longboards just not as many as a skateboard. In you situation this is what i would do. Get a longboard that has many qualities of a skateboard but is still a longboard. The way to do this is to get a freestyle board. In this way you can do a lot of tricks but still have the longboard feel. I would recommend an Original Apex 24 or a board that is like it. Like the Bustin Maestro, or a Loaded Dervish. If you need something cheeper just look around. Also check out ebay for used or new boards that are freestyle but are much less money.
