Do Abercrombie & Fitch models get sent to NYC to take pics with customers or do those models live in NYC?

I was in NYC in April and My friend and I went to A&F to shop. But they had a Model out in the entrance to the store that was taking pictures with customers and I was wondering if anybody knows if they fly some of those models in from other states to do that or if he actually lives in New York City!? Just out of curiousity :D haha, he was really hott too, i have the picture on my bedroom door. haha
