What is wrong with it? He refuses to get it checked out!?

My boyfriend was at work pulling a skid full of pop, he has to stop quick but the skid didnt stop...and it hit him in the lower ankle, high heel area... it is now swollen where it got hit and dark purple, he cant put any pressure on it and he walks on his toes! What is wrong? He doesnt wanna get it checked out
