You are correct. Religious teaching should be the parents responsibility, not the schools. I live in FL and found out it is only recently that they are teaching evolution in the schools here. I was floored. I am from the North East and we weren't kept in the dark. Oh well, I guess it's the bible belt. Maybe that is the same reason creationism is being taught.
