Ok techies--I did something stupid. I ran system recovery with no back-up?

My daughter got my (her) computer so jammed up with spyware and unwanted programs and I was trying to clean it up-removing unwanted programs-running adaware- deleting old application files. well the screen went blank and the only page I could access was the set-up page. Maybe I read it wrong because I though it said there were 2 ways to run system recovery. 1) was to have back up discs of all your data files and pictures etc.(which stupidly I had never made). but it said I could run recovery a second way and it would save all of my old files in a separate partition. This is windows XP. Well needless to say--everything is gone-and I cant find it-I call Greed Squad- if I give them the Hard drive thay can probably recover most of my old pictures and doents--starting at 259.00!!!. Well I did take out the hard drive so I wouldn't overwrite anything that might be recoverable, and installed a new one. When I am watching television or something, I am very easily disgusted my certain images. Like, I was watching a cartoon and a bunch of pebbles went in a guys face and they were stuck there-and I was completely and utterly disgusted by the way it looked. Then in that same show, a man touched something and hundreds of bumps developed all over his body-including his eyes, and I couldn't even bare to watch it anymore. The images were stuck im my head for days, and after I saw it I had to turn off the television and try to distract myself. This is not the first time this has happened, but it was the most recent and the one I was most disturbed by. I have trypophobia (fear of holes) if that means anything. But this doesn't always happen with holes only...I just wanted to ask because I don't think it is normal for me to be so disturbed by something I think most people wouldn't really care about. I have a 2001 Winnebago Minnie. I discovered that if I turn on my heat, it runs until it meets the desired temperature then shuts down. Everything is cool right? But then when it starts again as the temperature drops, It blows nothing but cold air. If I turn it off and back on this sometimes makes it work. Once again, it blows cold air when it restarts. It's the issue of exclusivity. Muslims believe that theirs is the only true religion. We Christians KNOW that ours is the only true religion. Kind of makes a middle ground hard. As a Christian I have to say my only real hang up is that Muslims still show a scary tendency to be violent to effect their conversions. Christianity seems to have grown out of that stage, thank God. However, I have no issues with being friends with any Muslim who is willing to be tolerant of me and my beliefs. I have no problem with getting along with others, I think it's the best way to show God's love to them.

Should i get a longboard or a skateboard?

I would recommend longboarding. They are way more versatile then skateboards and last much longer. With longboards you can cruise, bomb, freestyle, and carve. You can do tricks on longboards just not as many as a skateboard. In you situation this is what i would do. Get a longboard that has many qualities of a skateboard but is still a longboard. The way to do this is to get a freestyle board. In this way you can do a lot of tricks but still have the longboard feel. I would recommend an Original Apex 24 or a board that is like it. Like the Bustin Maestro, or a Loaded Dervish. If you need something cheeper just look around. Also check out ebay for used or new boards that are freestyle but are much less money. Just make sure that the board is an Apex which means that both ends are the same. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I hope this helps.

Evidently she is a person who has to have the last say about someone. She's either "cutting them up" to make herself better, or saying something detrimental about someone. I think that low carbon footprints help the environment a lot. We can not undo the damage that we have already done to our world, but we can slow it down to a point where things are a lot safer. The industrial revolution didn't cause half as many problems as we do now and we still use that same old technology from back then in many of our factories and manufacturing facilities. We can definitely take steps to help our environment, doubting methods like this is what makes these little problems happen.

Prone to eye infections/dry eyes, want contacts?

OK, so I really want contacts really really bad. And I got them a couple of weeks ago, but then I got an eye infection. Last week I went back tot he eye doctor and they told me my eyes were dry and i am prone to eye infection. I just started putting in moisture eye drops today, and I'm going to get my contacts tomorrow. Is it safe to get them? The eye infection I had was on the bottom of my eye, but I'm afraid I'll get it again and it will be my whole eye. And i also like to wear eye makeup, but I dont put it on the inside of my eye anymore and i clean my brushes every day and take the top layers off my eye shadows and sharpen my eye pencils every day. I am a lot cleaner than I was before i got the eye infection. Will I be OK if i'm super careful????

I can't figure out if I have ovulated...?

I have been charting my temps, checking my cervical position and using OPK's for about 3 months now. (I charted before I got pregnant with my daughter 4 years ago, so I'm not a total novice). I think my body is playing with me this month though. I got a dark positive OPK yesterday at noon. I did another one at 11 pm after I got home from work, and it was still positive. Hubby and I BD'ed and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning, and did my bbt, which dropped signifigantly as compared to the last few days. I know I won't know for a fact if I ovulated until I see if my temps have risen when I take my bbt tomorrow. Now the problem arises because I took another opk this morning, which was still dark positive. I checked my cervix, and it is still high, soft and open. So, is it possible that I ovulated all ready, or do the physical signs point to not ovulating yet? I am just worried, because I am on a 28/29 day cycle and if I haven't ovulated yet, that means I will ovulate on day 20/21, which isn't good. Okay, hope someone can give me some insite...

It is very difficult for me to eat with my mouth closed?

My mouth just isnt big enough to chew with my mouth closed. If I was to chew with my mouth closed, I would probably only get about a half inch of clearence between my upper and lower teeth. PLUS, my nose is ALWAYS congested which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to chew with your mouth closed... why do people make such a HUGE deal about people chewing with their mouth slightly open? I find it a tremendous pain to try to chew with my mouth completely closed.... makes me not even want to eat

My last name is Vincent, and my family is predominantly Irish. My father's parents came from to the Midwestern US from Newfoundland, Canada after living there. Why can't I smell anything?

Ok, this is going to sound a little gross, so i apologize in advance. Last night I threw up after gagging on a large vitamin pill. It came out of my nose mostly and made me very congested. I have been blowing my nose constantly and my nostrils have a burning feeling. I took a hot shower a few minutes ago and it helped clear my congestion a lot. I still have some and the burning feeling. I suppose that's all normal considering what happened but I can't smell a thing. I couldn't smell the soap in the shower and I can't even smell vicks (which is strong). Why is this happening even though I am not nearly as congested? How can I get my sense of smell back? I have the deluxe board with the 2600K and mine fit fine, of course I didn't use the heat sink and fan as I was going to over clock, but just put it on the get a temp reference for "stock" usage. Since all mother board (for the 1155 socket) heat sink hold down brackets must be able to fit the 1155 CPU's there should be no problem.

Why does my Gas Boiler keep firing up?

My heating and water is controlled by a timer on the wall, both have been switched to 'off' since last night, how ever the boiler keeps firing up every so often, and the tank in the airing cupboard is really hot and making a rumbling sound like it does when i have the water or heating switched on. OK, let's get one thing straight. First off, I am a college student who was offended from a past event. I am out of high school.I am a math major in my college and I am currently taking calc III. I was enjoying the math cl until my professor started slandering on students who score low on the SAT. He saw that it would be okay to humiliate students who score low on SATs since this was a calc III course. People generally taking the course have high SATs. So he cracked a joke and made fun of people who have scored below 500 on SAT Math. "The math can't get easier on the SAT; those who score below 500 are idiots beyond morons," were his words. Everyone in cl started laughing except me. I was probably the only one sitting in the cl with a 420 score in math. I couldn't take notes in cl and after a few minutes I just walked out. I am shaken up by what happened. I do have a B+ thus far in the cl, but maybe I should retake SAT for my well-being. Need some advice..ty.

When I started bc I went to the health department for a family planning clinic where they do an examination and give you the birth control for free. My first visit I got 3 months worth, then I had to go back and get another 10 months worth. I have to go back for another check up when I get to my last month and they'll give me another years worth. I was worried about what my parents would think, but when I mentioned it they said that it was a good idea to think about that myself. I'm not ually active, but its never a bad idea to plan ahead and also it helps regulate your period, and we all know that's a plus. But yeah, I would go to the health department, it's all free and you can do it yourself.

I'm always deppressed?

I used to be a loud crazy person and got along with everyone. I had a huge fight with my mates- good riddance. They never used to treat me right. People have been coming up to me this whole week asking me why am I quite why are you so sad. I just pretend to them and say I’m feeling really sick or tired. Sometimes being by myself overwhelms me so much at school I feel like crying. I'm never open anymore. My 2 ex best friends do talk to me occasionally and that's if they are by themselves. I don't really miss my other friends as I always felt like a tag along but now I always look like a depressed git. I hang around with a new group but I still feel left out. They are nice to me and I do like them but i still feel sad and lonely with them. Sometimes they confer and whisper to each other and when i ask what they are talking about they don't tell me. This whispering carries on for 2 periods and when it's break they tell me to come with them; they still do it. When they ask me why I am quite i tell them i feel left out. They just look at me and tell me not to worry and you'll feel better in a couple of months. I've stopped going on the bus (I walk it now) and I’ve even stopped going to the shop and I’m literally the first one there. Now when you look at me in the corridor I always have a frown on my face but before you'd see me laughing and smiling. I don't know what to do I feel crap all the time and feel hated and a waste of space. I’ve never hated school but now even hearing the name I feel sad. If I tell my parents this they'll get worried and I don't want them thinking about me and worrying about me every day so I keep this to myself. I feel like if I tell anyone they'll think I’ve got paranoia or I’m crazy. I’ve quitted facebook and no one talks to me on msn. I eat and sit with myself at lunch. The first thing i would do is to stop thinking of people as if they live in bubbles, they may have seen just as much as you (I don't know you but from the description it seems you have seen downtown los angeles which isn't very impressive) and they may just understand. Just because you have lived a cosmopolitan lifestyle doesn't mean you have to isolate yourself from any other one. You may find you like it just as much. If you have an unquenchable pion to live metropolitan than do so, move to a metropolitan area and live the night-life, but if you don't have the means to do so adjust to what you have.

Does the Intel 945G chipset support Core 2 Duo processors?

I have an IBM ThinkCentre Desktop computer, model 8113-D5U. It has the Intel 945G Chip-set with a P4 630 processor. Through some research it seems that this chip-set only supports P4 and Pentium D. However, Core 2 Duo processors use the same socket (LGA 775). As long as I use a Core 2 Duo processor that has an FSB of no more than 1066mhz (which is the maximum fsb supported by the chip-set), and upgrade the fan, shouldn't I be able to install one?

I would have to agree with writersrule that I have never interpreted Tash to be the devil when reading the series. I took it to imply that the religion following Tash was like Hinduism or any other religion and the religion following Aslan was christianity. With that it mind, I believe he was trying to say that those following Tash were not wrong in their belief just because they were following a god who was not Aslan, or God. I think he was trying to say there is a bit of truth in every religion (though Christianity being correct for the most part) and that just because a person follows a different religion does not mean that they are going to be punished for it since they still believed in a god which possessed the same traits as Aslan and the followers, I am uming, were good, faithful people, hence the reason he said service done to Tash he accounts as service done to him. I know this isn't a very popular belief for many Christians so I think many tend to disagree with C.S. Lewis on this point. I myself am a Christian but I take a broader view on many subjects and I personally have a hard time believing all the other religions in the world besides Christianity are completely wrong (not to say all are right either).

How to stop my Lab chewing my kitchen floor?

I have recently started a new job. Before i started work i was at home with my puppy who is now 9 months most of the time. Since starting work she has started to chew my kitchen cushion floor. Everybody says that maybe now i should leave the door of her playpen open, but im afraid if i do it will more than just my kitchen floor she chews. Any suggestions on what i should do. Tips for keeping hair straight?

i have wavy/textured hair and i straighten it pretty often. i use a remmington straightener, its pretty cheap but it works ok. i just ordered a solia (comparable to a chi) so thats supposed to work better. but normally by the end of the day my layers get a little wavy and the end flip out in weird ways. any tips?
